Water is lifeblood of all mankind. It sustains our cities and rural communities, our farms and ranches, our businesses and industries and our natural environment.
Because Texas water resources can be unpredictable, especially in drought, all water users must closely monitor and manage their water resources.
Effective management of water resources includes access to and use of ground water through water wells. Water wells have many natural enemies that can reduce or even stop water flow into the perforations of well screen or casing.
These enemies, known as plugging agents include mineral scale, algae, bacteria and sediments. Plugging agents may also corrupt the structural integrity of the well casing.
To prevent well casing corruption and maximize water production it is imperative to keep the well screen or casing perforations open and flowing. |
